Islands rosa kristaller

Blir så kär i Island ibland

Från The Reykavik Grapevine – Paul Fontaine

A French artist has left the community at Skagaströnd a creation
to help get them throu
gh the darkening days.

As many who live in Iceland are aware, the end of summer marks not only cooler temperatures but also daylight getting shorter. In the north of the country, this is especially the case.

RÚV reports that French artist Delphine Perlstein has given the community
a creation that might brighten those darker times to come.

The seven pink crystals shown in the RÚV article were created by her, while she lived at the Nes art centre in the area last August. The sculpture is located in the centre of town, and glows pink.Image

The artist says the sculpture is designed to convey the value of life, and will hopefully evoke feelings of love, honour, power, beauty and truth in those who witness the crystals.

Ska också skaffa mig några rosa kristaller och sätta i mitt fönster när mörkret är som störst
